Collection: Yesterday's Girls series

There are many sources of inspiration, some from the fringes, that may at times merit exploration. And sometimes there is enough material to create a series.  I don't know exactly how it happens, but my surroundings have something to do with it.  Yesterday's Girls is no exception.  It is my outsider's attempt to explore a slice of the cultural moment in which we live.  Women or girls are often objectified and identified with artifacts, be it sculptures or toys; and that has a psychological impact.  How these concepts are internalized and how it is outwardly expressed, is a casualty of being I was drawn to explore. This website page does not contain all the images created for this series and perhaps in the future there will be a formal presentation of all of them.
